The following tables list Linux distributions. In the first table you can choose the compiler version depending on the versions of your distribution. The second shows you which distributions support RPM or DEB installation. TAR archives should work with any distribution.

Installation

The .run-files, you will have downloaded, contain their own shell. In order to unpack it, simply make the file executable, and run it by prepending "./". E.g:

	> chmod +x AVK-Samba-1.0.0-1.linux-gcc3x.i386.tar.run
	> ./AVK-Samba-1.0.0-1.linux-gcc3x.i386.tar.run

For RPM and DEB based packages use the corresponding package manager to install the files.
